12-month OEM warranty on motor & battery on every new motorcycle.

1. 30-day returns (parts, gear & unused accessories)

You may return unused parts, gear and accessories within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, provided they are in their original packaging and in resalable condition. Original delivery charges are non-refundable; return shipping is the buyer's responsibility unless the item was faulty or incorrectly supplied.

2. Motorcycles — cooling-off & cancellation

For motorcycles purchased online and not collected in person, you have a 7-day cooling-off right under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (ECTA), from the date of delivery, provided the bike is unridden, undamaged and in resalable condition. We may charge a reasonable inspection / restocking fee for a returned motorcycle.

3. Faulty, defective or unsafe goods (CPA s.56)

Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, if any item is defective, unsafe or not fit for its ordinary intended purpose within 6 months of delivery, you may choose between a repair, replacement or full refund. Email info@rfnafrica.co.za with your order number and a description of the fault, and we'll arrange collection.

4. OEM warranty — motorcycles

Every new RFN motorcycle is sold with an OEM warranty (typically 12 months on the motor and battery, 6 months on the controller and frame welds — confirmed in writing on your invoice). The warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal use and standard maintenance. It does not cover:
  • Wear-and-tear items (tyres, brake pads, chains, cables, grips, plastics).
  • Race-induced damage, crash damage, water ingress beyond rated IP class.
  • Damage from modifications or non-OEM parts.
  • Damage caused by neglected charging or storage.

5. How to claim

  1. Email info@rfnafrica.co.za with your order number, photos / video, and a brief description.
  2. We respond within 2 business days with collection or repair instructions.
  3. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days of receiving the returned item.
  4. Approved warranty repairs are typically completed within 14 business days of receiving the unit.

6. Exclusions

We cannot accept returns of personalised items, opened consumables (such as chain lube), or items damaged by misuse. Race-use battery packs are sold "as is" once installed on the machine.
